I am a big fan of him. I like good batsman and good aggression. And I like the fact that someone can play Australia like that. I think Virat Kohli is going to give it back to Australia this time. Virat is special and I like that game,” Richards said.”I also played the same game. Can you imagine Viv and Virat playing in the same team?”Virat is good. You are good if you can only reply. If you are not good you can’t reply. Virat is good in that sense.”Richards, who broke several batting records and wooed fans across the globe during his heyday, was known for his inimitable charm. Opposition bowlers relished the challenge of bowling to Richards but once the gum-chewing maverick got going, the only way to keep him silent was getting him off strike.Like Kohli, Richards also enjoyed tough challenges. His record against Australia is a testament to that. He had scored 2266 runs, including five centuries, against Australia and 1760 of them, including four tons, came Down Under.advertisementRichards’ comments come at a time when Kohli has been criticised for his behaviour in the ongoing tour of Australia. Former Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson had called the India skipper “silly and disrespectful” after he had some testy exchanges with his Australian counterpart, Tim Paine in Perth.Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar had slammed Kohli and the Indian cricket team, saying needling opponents was not part of the Indian cricket’s DNA in the past. There is a lot of ground to cover for India to find consistency overseas: RichardsMeanwhile, Richards also appreciated the shift in India’s attitude when it comes to acknowledging the need for having quality fast bowlers to perform well overseas. However, the 66-year-old former West Indies captain insisted the Asian giants need more work to win on the road, consistently.”Earlier, India used to play with four spinners. They now have four fast bowlers. It is good that things have changed. India realised it needs that attitude. But India still get to do well in overseas,” Richards said.”Indian infrastructure have improved. IPL has helped in a big way. It has brought money and the Indian team has got substance. But I think India needs to win overseas and still there is a lot of ground to cover.”Also Read | Aaron Finch on Tim Paine’s banter with Rohit Sharma: He did not take the baitAlso Read | Admire Virat Kohli but he should behave with dignity: Naseeruddin Shah to India TodayAlso See:For sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports. Baleària Orders Two LNG Ferries from LaNaval

first_imgzoom Spanish ferry operator Baleària has ordered two dual-fuel ferries from compatriot Shipyard Construcciones Navales del Norte – LaNaval, with the estimated EUR 350 million (USD 390m) deal expected to be firm in two months. The new ferries, apart from being the first newbuildings to run on liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Spain, will be the biggest ever built in any Spanish shipyard, according to La Naval. The eco duo will have a length of 225 meters and a breadth of 30 ,4m.Baleària’s new eco ferries will be powered by dual-fuel engines capable of running on either LNG or diesel oil, allowing the company to reduce the CO2 emmissions by more than 30%, according to LaNaval. The construction of the first unit will start in 2016 and will be in operation during the first quarter of 2018.Chairman of Baleària, Adolfo Utor, said: “The investment in the construction of new ships is the way of growing and being more competitive. These ferries will be very technologically advanced and innovative units, based not only on the propulsion system but also incorporating systems onboard allowing them to be more eco-efficient, together with a better service and comfort for our clients.”Earlier this year, Baleària signed two contracts with Rolls-Royce in its push to retrofit the existing fleet to run on LNG.One contract with Rolls-Royce was signed in June for the design of LNG propulsion systems for three of Baleària’s high-speed ferries – the HSC Ramon Llull, HSC Jaume II and HSC Jaume III – which currently run on diesel. The other contract was signed between Rolls-Royce and Spanish energy company Gas Natural Fenosa for the development and installation of  a pure-gas Bergen engine aboard the Baleària-operated ferry Abel Matutes.last_img read more
