After being rested by the Indian selectors ahead of a packed-Test schedule, Virat Kohli has been busy promoting Premier Futsal, a multinational Futsal league. All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Praful Patel, on Saturday, expressed his concerns over Kohli, who is also the co-owner of Indian Super League (ISL) franchise FC Goa, being the brand ambassador of Premier Futsal, a league unrecognised by both FIFA and AIFF. The inaugural season, for which the Indian Test skipper was roped in as brand ambassador, was scheduled to be between July 15 to 24.Notably, AIFF secretary Kushal Das had also urged the state associations to inform affiliated clubs and the players to stay out of this league proposed by the FAI.(With IANS inputs)advertisement

Brighton boss Potter delighted with Alzate dealby Paul Vegas20 days agoSend to a friendShare the loveBrighton boss Graham Potter is delighted with Steven Alzate’s new deal.Alzate signed a new four-year deal with the Seagulls yesterday.Potter said, “He’s been with us from the start and has done very well since he came into the group.“He’s not looked out of place at all; sometimes youngsters can come into the group and have a session or two where you might notice a difference in levels, but that hasn’t happened with Steven.“The others can see his quality every day he’s with us, that naturally grows his confidence. It’s never straightforward, but he performed well against Newcastle and I think he can continue to develop and improve.“Against Chelsea he showed his adaptability in terms of starting in one role and then ending the game in midfield, so I’ve been really pleased with him. We have to make sure he’s playing to his strengths as often as we can – he can take the ball in tight situations and is good physically too, as well as being dynamic in his movement.” TagsTransfersAbout the authorPaul VegasShare the loveHave your say

He told Libero: “I never had Spanish lessons. People said that I spoke poor Spanish, that I couldn’t speak the language properly but little by little, after trying to speak, to read, making an effort… I’d still get all the verbs wrong and get mixed up… “But for Bale, to be in a country like the one he’s in, in my view he has to speak the language. Sometimes, I’d just like to know what he’s thinking. And that’s not me being overcritical with him. Even if you get things wrong or make mistakes, you can still express yourself in another way. It’s like a challenge or a little battle.”

Story Highlights A second test run on the designated lane for eastbound Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses along the Nelson Mandela Highway on October 29, resulted in improved traffic movement. The trial run began on time and according to Manager of the JUTC’s Spanish Town Depot, Neville Francis, this made a significant difference to the amount of traffic on the highway. In an interview with JIS News, the JUTC’s Deputy Managing Director, with responsibility for Operations, Kirk Finnikin, said that following an extensive review of last Thursday’s (October 24) test run, the team was much better prepared to undertake the second trial. He said they were able to move an additional 6,000 passengers during the three-hour test run on October 24, which saw approximately 70 buses travelling in the six-kilometre lane from Caymanas Bay to Ferry in the vicinity of the entrance to Plantation Heights.Mr. Finnikin cited some of the changes that were made for the second trial run. “We assessed the situation and recognised that cones could be taken up earlier than 9:00 a.m., which we did, and this allowed vehicular traffic on the westbound side to return to normal earlier than expected,” he said.Commenting on the traffic situation on the other side, Mr. Finnikin said there was less traffic in the eastbound lanes and the free flow of traffic began much earlier than on October 24. “Up to forty-five minutes to an hour before the scheduled cut off time, there was improved traffic flow on the eastbound side of the highway,” he added. The first evening test run takes today between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.The designated bus lane is expected to improve traffic movement along the highway and alleviate the traffic congestion usually experienced along that corridor during peak hours. The official three-month trial period will begin on Friday, November 1, beginning at 6:00 am. They were able to move an additional 6,000 passengers during the three-hour test run on October 24. The designated bus lane is expected to improve traffic movement along the highway. The trial run made a significant difference to the amount of traffic on the highway.

Harry’s Personal care Dollar Shave Club Post a comment Dollar Shave Club Supply One of the original razor subscription services, Dollar Shave Club offers three razor options; two-blade, four-blade and six-blade. All are under $10 per month for replacement blades and for the one-time cost for the handle. What started as just a razor subscription brand has now expanded into several lines of men’s grooming products, including skincare, hair care, fragrance, deodorant, shaving and oral care. For your first order, Dollar Shave Club urges you to get a starter pack, which includes two cartridges, a handle and shave butter for $5. After two weeks, you’ll automatically get a restock shipment of four razor cartridges and shave butter for around $25 (or more if you add additional products). You can customize both your starter kit and restock shipments to include body wash, face wash, shampoo, toothpaste and a toothbrush.Though their branding is aimed at men, I’ve purchased and used Dollar Shave Club’s razors in the past and they’ve worked well for my legs and underarms. Bevel Harry’s focuses on simplicity, style and craftsmanship for its shaving products. There are just two handles to choose from, and one type of razor cartridge. Its Winston handle is metal with no-slip rubber grips for $20. For $9, you can get the Truman, which has a rubber coating throughout and comes in orange, navy and green.Like Dollar Shave Club, Harry’s has starter pack for $8 that comes one razor blade cartridge and shave gel. Harry’s will send you eight new cartridges for $15 (plus shaving gel for an extra $6), every two, three or five months, depending on how often you shave.Harry’s also sells face wash, post-shave balm, soap and other body care items. P.S. I’ve also used their razors with good shaving results. If you truly want a women’s razor, Harry’s owns a brand called Flamingo that sells them, but it does not offer a subscription service. Billie See at Billie Designed for men of color See at Dollar Shave Club Bevel Coarse facial hair can be hard to shave, but kinky or curly hair is even harder. Bevel’s shave kit is designed with men of color in mind, to address their specific skin and shaving needs. The shaving kit mimics what you’d see at a barber shop, with a shave brush, skin oil, shave cream and an aftershave balm. All of those skin products have moisturizing oils to prevent bumps, razor burn and ingrown hairs. When it comes to the actual hair removal, instead of a multi-blade cartridge, you use a single-blade safety razor. The kit is $30, and Bevel will send you refills of razor blades, oil, shaving cream and the balm. See at Amazon 0 See at Supply See at Harry’s For men who love a straight razor shave, or who just consider themselves a bit hipster, there’s the Supply razor. This sleek single edge razor is made from aerospace-grade stainless steel and uses injector-style blades that are easy to change. Its unique design helps it stand apart from the typical safety razor. Oh, and the razor has a 100-year guarantee. Why yes, of course there is a starter set. It includes the razor handle with six month’s worth of blades, the standard shave setting, a shave brush, shaving cream and aftershave for $129. For just the razor, it’s $79 and new blades are $10 for 20 — which the company says will last you six months.Like Bevel, the Supply single edge razor is designed to minimize skin irritation, razor bumps, ingrown hairs and razor burn. Its unique design helps it stand apart from the typical safety razor.Yeah, those prices are steep, but Supply offers you a 100-day trial. If you don’t like it after you try it, you can get a refund.Supply sells a few extras too. For $30, you can get two metal pieces that let you customize how the razor shaves. One of these “shave settings” is designed for sensitive skin, the other for a close shave. You can also get a beautiful, though superfluous, leather case for $40. A razor that celebrates body hair The works Billie’s ambition is to provide women’s razors and body care products that don’t cost more than men’s. Women’s personal care products are often subject to the “pink tax,” meaning they cost more simply because they are marketed to women. The brand sells one style of razor, available in Instagram-worthy five colors. It has five blades and has a band of charcoal soap around the blades to help the razor slide easily while shaving.Billie’s $9 starter kit includes a handle, two cartridges and a magnetic holder to store the razor in your shower. The company then sends you four replacement blade cartridges monthly (or whatever frequency you choose), which also cost $9. Billie also sells body lotion, body wash and shave cream. What I particularly love about this company is that it celebrates and normalizes women’s body hair, whether you choose to shave or not, with its Project Body Hair campaign. Anyone can submit a photo of their body hair, and you can see photos from others who’ve contributed. In a society that often demonizes any kind of physical flaw on women, this approach is frankly refreshing.
